Aromatica and the Canadian Myomassology Institute are offering - for the first time ever - their professional massage training programs in Northern Ontario at Iroquois Falls. This is the first time any massage school has operated this far north of the Great Lakes and we will serve the communities of Sault Ste. Marie, Espanola, Sudbury, Timmins, Cochrane, Kirkland Lake, North Bay, Parry Sound, James Bay and Rouyn Noranda in Quebec.

Why would we open massage training programs in such a remote northern community? Well, why not? Aromatica receives inquiries for massage training from all over Canada including Northern Ontario. Many prospective students do not live in the major urban centres like London, Barrie and Toronto where the big RMT schools that offer Massage Therapy training are located. Some who inquire live in tiny remote, rural areas like Iroquois Falls in Northern Ontario. Contemplating a move to Toronto to receive an education may mean finding a new place to live and possibly taking on a part-time job while attending school full time for up to 3 years. That is a lot to consider and, for many people, this means the end of their dream as the cost of moving, finding a job and an apartment become 'barriers' that are too overwhelming to even consider! The cost of this type of full time training may also exceed $30,000.00 - another barrier to fulfilling a dream! If they could do it all, right in their own backyard and have it cost much less it would be perfect - now it's possible!

Aromatica and the Canadian Myomassology Institute specialize in delivering professionally recognized and fully accredited massage training in remote locations. They accept very small classes with few students that the major colleges will not do. This means they deliver lots of one-on-one instruction too. Aromatica fills a void in the educational market place for this type of training and we have the expertise and the 'know how' to make it happen. Don't forget that our training is all hands-on which means that each student gets on the massage table 2 or 3 times a day so they are going to be feeling great and have their own conditions treated throughout the training process also."

Laughter and having fun is another element that Cottam encourages during class time. "We get the job done, that's always number one. We work professionally and ethically while concentrating on all the technical aspects - however classroom laughter is acceptable and encouraged. Laughter brings camaraderie, harmony and a sense of joyful wellbeing to the classroom. After all, laughter is the best medicine - so why not?" says Cottam.

Students from Northern Ontario in this program commute to class on a daily basis or opt to enjoy superb overnight accommodations in several beautiful guesthouses that feature all the amenities. Classes run 7 consecutive days each month, for 6 months culminating in exams. Graduates are finished in 6 months and the cost of tuition is much more affordable than other options in the market place. Classes run every April and September.

Prospective students are not the only benefactors of this program.
